# Ethics & Society at Hugging Face

Hugging Face focuses on enabling good machine learning.

Towards this goal, we ground our work on Hugging Face values: 

- Being **open**, **collaborative**, **transparent**, and **candid**
- Enabling **rigor**, **responsibility**, and **accountability**
- Prioritizing **approachability** and **lowering barriers to entry**
- Providing resources for **scientific rigor**, **auditability**, and **minimizing societal harms**

# Who we are

The "Ethics & Society" group is a coalition of people throughout Hugging Face who spend time working on projects directly relevant to human values.

Our work is distributed across Hugging Face Datasets, apps/demos, Models, infrastructure, and internal processes.
